Each year this small city,
located in northern Poland, is visited by thousands of tourists who want to see
the house of Nicolaus Copernicus and taste some delicious gingerbreads. This
Gothic town attracts so many foreigners not only because breathtaking monuments
and low prices but cozy and pleasant atmosphere as well. One of the features of
this town that I like the most is that you can find there many attractions both
for an active person and for those who like passive way of visiting.
Besides of
admiring plenty of churches, old town and castle, it’s worth walk down along beautiful
streets to find out lots of historic tenement houses, Leading Tower, Vistula
river or Planetarium. After the whole day of discovering Toruń, you should definitely
relax near Cosmopolis fountain where every night, from May until October, takes
place an amazing concert with lots of colourful lights! At the end, just to
prove you that it’s worth to visit Toruń not only because of historical point
of view, I want to mention that’s the capital of delicious food! Spending even
one day there, first of all you should try eat dumplings, then drink ginger
beer and end up trying every types of gingerbreads.
