Zakynthos

Hey!

It’s almost April and it’s getting warmer that’s why I decided to tell you something about the place, which always reminds me of sunny summer, Zakynthos!

I know that it’s one of the most popular European destination during the summer but it seems such an amazing place that really, I just have to go there one day! I love swimming and spending time on the beach, so I think that’s perfect place just to relax and enjoy my free time. Zakynthos is known because of it’s golden beaches and the crystal-clear water. What’s more, there are lots of breathtaking viewpoints, so it’s a real paradise for me!

I’ve read somewhere that Zakynthos it’s an Island full of sea turtles called Caretta Caretta. There’re some beaches where those animals lay their eggs and the tourists can come there to adimre them, so cool! What’s more, if you are crazy about water sports, it’s a perfect place for you because the island offers many different possibilities to spend your free time in the water. Well, all those advantages definitely convinces me to visit Zayknthos!

Istanbul

Hey!
I have never been to Istanbul and I don’t know why, I’d really like to see this city! Maybe just because it’s on the borderlands of Europa and Asia and that’s why it seems more attractive, or maybe because in my life I’ve met many Turks and each of them was super-nice!

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of this city are mosques! I have been only once in mosque but I fell in love with the beautiful architecture of this building just from the first sight. That’s why I adore admiring this kind of temples now :) To be honest, I don’t know much about Istanbul but I remember that it was a trade centre, at least in the past, so I can imagine that there are lots of different kind of markets till today where you can buy, for sure, many aromatic spices.

If I’m already talking about food, it’s obvious that I’d taste some Turkish sweets, like Baklava for example, and then finally try kebab and drink Turkish tea! As always, I’d be really excited to see the sunset sitting on the riverside of Bosphorus strait :) Visiting Turkey, it’d be amazing to go to Cappadocia too. This special place created by nature many is full of high ‘chimneys’ made from a special kind of rocks. It’s really worth going there few minutes before the sunrise just to see lots of hot-air balloons flying above this miracle of the nature!

Naples

Hello!

Today I’m taking you to the city which is well known because of pizza, mafia and lots of rubbish on the streets.
Naples is one of the biggest Italian cities and it’s located in the south Italy. I’d like to visit it just to taste a real Italian pizza, to hear this funny Neapolitan accent and to note differences between north and south of Italy. This city is full of attractions and interesting places to see however in my opinion, it’s enough to visit Duomo, the Cathedral, Castel Nuovo, the Castle and Basilica of San Francesco a Paola which was based on Pantheon, and then focus on admiring other amazing places located near to Naples.

I’ve already mentioned the beautiful  Basilica and that’s why I just would like to tell you one curious fact about Italian churches. Those stairs, which are always in front of the churches, are really
useful – it’s a place where many Italians meet just to sit for hours and to talk about everything, while tourists treat those stairs as the place where they can relax a little bit during the trip and eat something.  But okay,  lets come back to the visiting this amazing city. Next it’s really worth going to The Mount Vesuvius and visit Pompei.

That would be really exciting to see those cities that were semi-destroyed by lava so many years ago. It’s just breathtaking! At the end of my trip, I would go on the one of those small islands situated near to Naples - The Capri Island or The Ischia Island. They are well known because of their fresh, exotic fruits. You can buy there not only some delicious food but for example a soap in the shape of lemon that smells like a lemon!

Budapest

Hey!

Next week, next trip! So today we’re going to the city that I haven’t visited yet but I really would like to! I’m thinking about magical Budapest. It’s not so far from Poland, both bus and plane tickets are quite cheap, so I hope that I’d visit soon this place.

So, I’ve got to know that Budapest is famous because of its lions. There are a lot of monuments of lions in the whole city. It reminds me of small figurines of dwarfs in Wrocław! What’s more, you can find there the second biggest synagogue in the whole world and not so far from it, there’s a former Jewish quarter. If it goes about monuments, there are two or three more monuments that I’d like to see! For sure it would be a wonderful building of the Parliament  which is situated at the riverside. It’s so beautiful on the picture that I can’t even imagine how beautiful in reality it is! Then, I absolutely want to see Fisherman’s Bastion (I heard that it’s the best place to admire sunshine in the city!) and Vajdahunyad Castle located in Vorosliget Park – the most beautiful park in Budapest. And now, the most important point of the whole trip – the Gellert Hill!

From the top of the hill you can see the view of the whole Budapest. To see this breathtaking skyline, you should go there before the sunset :) But to be honest, there’s one more reason to visit Budapest – food, of course! Wine, sweets & Gulyasleves = happiness!
